![]() ![]() Unfortunately realism or lack thereof are not part of the game. Obviously I have to get better at it but geezus this is frustrating the hell out of me. I know that according to the game rules that's the way it is- but it is simply absurd to think that is in any way realistic. But I just cannot get my head around how it's possible that a ship can be firing all its guns at you and yet you still can't see it. Yeah, I didn't have any flags or camo on- I had just finished a battle and went into another one without replenishing.īut anyway- I've read the concealment articles on the wiki (and elsewhere), watched the videos and all that. It is possible though unlikely that the BB is doing that to you. Because your gun bloom is 14.5 kms, same as your range, you will not be spotted, and the shells will appear to arrive from an invisible ship. When you fire your rear turrets, the ship will drive into your shells. Imagine you are being chased by a ship 15 kms from you. That is how the spotting mechanics work.Ī variant of this which you might practice in Helena is to kite and use the spotting bloom mechanics to stay unspotted. Since no one is spotting it, it is not seen, and can lob shells at you without being seen. No, quite often the ship is behind an island with respect to you, and other ships cannot see it. Surely if a ship is lobbing multiple salvos at me I should be able to see it? Last game it was a battleship that was somehow able to see me and hit me from 20km away, and the game just now- no idea. My health gets reduced from 100 percent pretty much to zero by a ship that is very close, but I can't target it. There's no smoke, but I can clearly see where the shells are coming from. Noticed a few games where I'm steaming along- using Helena at the moment- and I'm getting nailed by ships I cannot see.
